Happy Wedding Wednesday and thanks for joining me again. This week is all about your wedding dress. Wedding dress shopping was one of my favorites of the whole planning process (look above to see my dress!). Trying on absolute stunning dresses, while your closest friends and family oohhh and aww at you, who doesn’t want that!

Whether you are looking for an A-Line, Mermaid, Lace, Satin or maybe something completely off the wall, keep your mind open to the possibilities. Trying on dress after dress can be stressful if you make it that way, but check out my best tips below to enjoying this day.

Limit your Numbers

Do not bring a huge group. Too many opinions is not always the best thing and it can become stressful if the opinions are not lining up together. Bring a couple close friends and family members to help pick that perfect dress.

Accessories... not included

If you have a strict budget, keep this in mind. The price tag on the dress is never including alterations or your accessories (veil, sash, jewelry, etc.) Factor this in before shopping.

Do not get Discouraged

This is one of the best experiences that you will have, but it can easily get overwhelming. There are hundreds of dresses. There are thousands of styles and designs; which makes your odds of finding the perfect gown pretty good. But do not get down if you do not have that “this is the one” moment on your first trip or ever.

Shop for your Body you now have

All brides want to lose those extra 10 pounds to fit in there perfect dress. Shop for the body type you have now. It is always easier to take in the dress than it is to take out.

Plan on playing Hooky

One advice I wish I would've taken from other brides is this. Go to a bridal salon during the week. Many, if not all, brides make their appointments for a Saturday morning. Try to go on a Tuesday or Wednesday during the week. If possible, take a half day and enjoy the afternoon with the ladies. Plus, you won't have to fight for mirror time!

Have any additional wedding dress shopping advice, we would LOVE to hear from you!

See you next Wedding Wednesday!
